Our school head teacher Jerzy Brzoza  is a very good observer. He often
comes to different groups of students and watches pupils at their work. On 21st of November
during our English lesson we hosted our head teacher. We were a
little afraid if he likes our progress at English, but it wasn't so bad. We just learnt some new words
as always, we read a story and did a lot of various exercises. It was fun as usual.
At the end of the lesson when everything was clear, Mr Brzoza
praised us and he went out. We want our head teacher to visit us often.

Halloween/All Saints’ Day

On 1st of November in Spain we celebrate All Saints’ Day, too. The tradition is the same as Poland.

11th November

Independence Day in Poland is on 11th of November. Most people remember about this and they show it through participation in parades, hanging out flags of our state. This of year this day was on Sunday, so our school celebrated this holiday on Monday. Our colleagues showed us and told about events connected with the date of 11th November. To this performance we also invited guests, war combatants. The ceremony was organized by students from class V and their teacher Mrs Gembalczyk and it showed us that we should be proud of our country and we should represent it appropriately.

Olimpus

On 9^th of November in our school we had an English language competition. It was called Olimpus. Students willing to take part in the competition wrote the test under the teacher’s supervision. The test was very difficult. A lot of students wrote that test. Now we are waiting for the results and we hope we are the winners.

All Saints' Day

On 1^st of November in Poland we celebrate All Saints’ Day. It is a tradition that we walk to the graveyards to say prayers and light candles on the graves of our relatives. In our school there was an academy to remember this day. The 1st of November was a very sad day.

Halloween

Halloween is on 31^st of October. Halloween is very popular in the USA. On this day everywhere there are a lot of pumpkins. On Halloween children dress up as monsters and they knock at the door and ask for sweets. In the streets there are a lot of monsters, witches and skeletons. Halloween is very funny.

Disco at school

On 16th of October in our school there was a disco. It was the first disco in the new school year 2007/2008. At the disco we danced, listened to music and later we also won prizes in prize-drawing. We had great fun. Everybody was delighted. The disco was very nice.
