Mother's Day

On the 26th of May we had Mother's Day. On this day every mother got a present from their children. We wish our mums all the best because we love our mums. On this day every mother was happy and smiled. This celebration is very popular in Poland. Do you have Mother's Day?

Culture Week. Pablo Picasso. Madrid

In April, we celebrated Culture Week at Pablo Picasso in Madrid providing our students with an opportunity to experience new and enriching activities within our school and the community.
Throughout the week each class had the opportunity to go on excursions outside of the school. They visited the Natural Science Museum, the Prado Art Museum, the Planetarium, Hortaleza Village, and the Fire Station.
Within the school we were treated to a piano concert, a cooking class, and a First Aid Workshop.
Our main theme for the week was Chinese Culture. We were very fortunate to have so many volunteers who gave their time and energy to organize interesting workshops and exciting activities. During the week, the children made Chinese lanterns, traditional hats, costumes, informative posters and much more. Additionally, we saw Chinese Folktales told in sign language and learned Tai Chi. For the Grand Finale on Friday all of the children participated in a parade wearing the costumes they had each made in the workshops.
Culture Week was a great success and we appreciate all of the efforts of the volunteers and community members who made it possible.

Europe Day

On the 8th of May in our school there was a interscolaire team competition about European Union. This competition was on the occasion of Europe Day. In this competition teams from every primary school in our region participated. Every school had one team. There were six teams. Questions in the test were very difficult but our team was second. Do you have interscolaire team competitions?

A long weekend

On the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of May we had a long weekend. On the 1st of May it was May Day. On the 2nd of May we celebrated Flag Day and on the 3rd of May we celebrated Constitution Day. These festivals are very important for our country. In this time we can also rest. Some pupils traveled to different places. We were delighted because we came back to school fresh and relaxed. On the ocassion of Constitution Day we had a school academy when we came back to school. Do you have important national festivals?

Noise Pollution Workshop

A special project we've been working on this year is The Fight Against Noise. It's a general objective in our school.
We are very lucky to have some special visitors who are presenting to us some interesting activities about noise.

Graduate test

All students from sixth classes wrote a test on 8 April (competence test). We came
to school at 8.30, and then teachers let us into our classes. We were very nervous.
We wrote the test sixty minutes. I think the test was simple, easier than the mock exam.
The majority of us returned sheets of paper at the end of time. Then, we went out
to talk to our friends about the test.

Easter

On the 23rd and 24th of March there was Easter. We recollected tortures and the Resurection of Jesus. We had two days of Easter but we had one week of free time. We could rest and we came back to school relaxed. On the first day of Easter we ate a festive breakfast. On the second day of Easter boys poured water on girls. On this day every girl was very wet. This day was very funny. Easter was very enjoyable. Do you have your own Easter customs?
