Merry Christmas 2007
How we celebrate Christmas in Spain and at our school.
This is a nativity scene from our school. Here you can see Joseph (San José), Mary (Santa María), Baby Jesus (el niño Jesús), a mule (la mula), an ox (un buey), an angel (un angel), and a star (la estrella).
Every year the Three Wise Men come to our school to bring presents and sweets to the children.
Melchior is the oldest one. He has got white hair. He brings gold (oro) to Baby Jesus.
Gaspar has got brown hair. His gift to Jesús is frankincense (incienso).
Balthazar has got black hair. He brings myhrr (mirra) as his present.
Another tradition in our school is to have a parade (cabalgata) on the playground.
We put the Christmas Tree (un árbol de Navidad) and our arts and crafts projects on floats.
The children dance (bailar) and sing (cantar) as they march along.

Parents-teacher meeting
On 14th November (Wednesday) in our class there was a parents-teacher meeting. At this meeting matters relevant to our class were discussed. The teacher described bad behaviour of some students during lessons and breaks. Some parents were astonished by their children’s behaviour because some pupils didn't tell them about that. But there were also better things discussed like Christmas celebrations as well as a charity concert our class is preparing. During the meeting parents also talked about where to let us go for a school trip. Do you also have parents-teacher meetings?
